Mariners open up the 2024 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship against the UKC Blue Devils
RED DEER, AB - VIU is back on the national stage at the CCAA final eight for women's collegiate volleyball.
The PACWEST conference champion Mariners play their first game at the 2024 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship versus the ACAA (Atlantic) champion University of King's College Blue Devils on Wednesday, March 6 at 8 p.m. Mountain Time / 7 p.m. Pacific Time.

Players to Watch
- VIU: setter Linnea Brickwood, who was named conference championship MVP, added another award to her stellar season as she was named a CCAA All-Canadian at the tournament awards banquet on Tuesday night. Outside hitter Aimee Skinner was named a conference first team all-star and rookie of the year.
- UKC: the Blue Devils swept the major ACAA women's volleyball awards, with recognition going to Kaitlyn Legault (Player of the Year), Maya Lees (Rookie of the Year), and Beate Shannon (Coach of the Year). Shannon was also named CCAA women's volleyball coach of the year.
