Linnea Brickwood named CCAA All-Canadian

VIU setter honoured for her direction of the conference champion Mariners

RED DEER, AB - VIU Mariners fourth-year setter Linnea Brickwood was named a CCAA All-Canadian tonight (March 5, 2024) at the Women's Volleyball National Championship awards banquet at Red Deer Polytechnic.

Linnea directed a diverse offense for the conference champion Mariners while also providing major defensive contributions. VIU Communications and Sports Information Coordinator Matt Carter described her as "a skilled and focused leader who has kept the Mariners running at a high-octane level and is well-deserved of this national honour."

This is Linnea's first All-Canadian award, but she also earned a CCAA Academic All-Canadian award in 2021-22.
