It's Island Time: VIU Hosts the 2023 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship

NANAIMO - Vancouver Island University and VIU Mariners Athletics & Recreation are proud to host the 2023 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship, March 8-11.

Conference champions and wildcard entries from across Canada will battle for the national championship. As host, VIU is guaranteed a berth in the tournament--and will be aiming for its fifth consecutive CCAA national championship. No team in CCAA history has ever won more than four consecutive championships.

In addition to the host Mariners, the tournament field will include:

PACWEST Champion (or silver medallist at provincials if VIU wins)
ACAC (Alberta) Champion
ACAC Wildcard
MCAC (Manitoba) Champion
OCAA (Ontario) Champion
RSEQ (Quebec) Champion
ACAA (Atlantic) Champion

VIU's quarterfinal matchup is expected to be at 6 pm on Wednesday, March 8. The full tournament schedule, recaps, and photos, will be posted on the CCAA Women's Volleyball tournament site (to be updated shortly).

Tournament passes will be available for purchase on Eventbrite starting on Friday, February 3. This page will be updated as purchase links go live.
