Ryan Watters talks with the First Team All-Star who like most of the world has been at home during the pandemic.
Cameron Gay of the VIU Mariners was only one of three players to start and play all 18 games for his club last season. He led his team averaging 19.7 points a game in over 32 minutes a game. He also led the Mariners with 98 assists helping his club to 16 wins.
This past season the Mariners finished as the second seed and matched up with the Douglas Royals for a rematch of the PACWEST gold medal game.
Despite losing in the title game the Mariners qualified for the CCAA national championship, however the tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
