VIU captured the Bronze Medal at the CCAA Women's Soccer Nationals as they defeated Seneca College 1-0.
The game saw action mostly in the midfield, with both teams unable to break through each other's defensive lines.
After adjusting at the half, VIU pressed forward with an extra attacker up top and managed to capitalize in the 70th minute when #22, Jade Dillabough broke free and slipped a ball to the back of the Seneca goal.
VIU held on with some strong play from their 3 centre-backs and wing-backs thwarting away any Seneca attacks.
The 4-Imprint Players of the Game were Carley Uddenberg from Seneca and Jade Dillabough from VIU.
