Week 3 Recap
Almost perfect weekend of soccer, 6pts for women and 4pts for men.
WOMEN
Saturday vs Capilano
VIU 1 Capilano 0
"We started really well creating many chances and looking dangerous every time we went forward." remarks Head Coach Kevin Lindo
As soon as we got the goal, we let our foot off the gas and that was huge mistake.
We made far too many individual errors and as an attacking unit looked off the pace
We defended very well against their set pieces.
Deserved the win but weren't happy with the overall performance.
"Excellent character shown to get us over the line." Says Coach Lindo
Sunday vs Langara
VIU 3 Langara 1
Started positive, confident and in control.
"Our first two goals were two of the best we've scored since I've been here." Says HC Kevin Lindo
A superb individual effort and a team goal with around 15-20 passes in the lead up!
"We still lost a little focus which cost us with the goal but overall we were so pleased how well we played in this game" Comments Lindo
Awesome 6 point weekend!
