PANAGO Mariners Athletes of the week.
OLIVIA MAZURENKO
Olivia covers a lot of ground and has tremendous work ethic, it was great to see her get on the scoresheet in both games with two clinical finishes.
Saturdays proved to be a much needed insurance goal and Sundays was the game winner.
We have a lot of competition in the squad this year and Olivia has responded as we expected, with positivity and some excellent performances.
BILLY BAGIOPOULOS
Billy scored the winning goal at the 79th minute in Saturday's 3-1 win over Langara.
He then scored the third goal in Sunday's 4-1 win against Langara as well.
Billy proved to be very dangerous for VIU all weekend and was instrumental in the Mariners three second half goals on Sunday.
He scored the third VIU goal in the 63rd minute Sunday and used his excellent pace, dribbling ability and vision to create numerous scoring opportunities for the Mariners all weekend.
He is leading the league in goals and is having an excellent season for VIU.
