VIU wins two, loses two, and finishes strong to defeat Camosun in the PACWEST semifinal
NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. - The Mariners started strong, dealth with a fercious Camosun comeback, and buckled down in the fifth set for an entertaining 3-2 (25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 18-25, 15-8) win over the defending champion Camosun Chargers.

Emma Schill, with an outstanding performance at libero, was named VIU's Player of the Game.
VIU advances to the conference gold medal game against the #3-seed Capilano University Blues, which upset the #2-ranked Douglas College Royals late Friday night. The gold medal game goes Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Douglas College Gymnasium.
With their wins, both VIU and Capilano have qualified for the 2024 CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship, March 6-9 in Red Deer, Alberta and hosted by Red Deer College.
